I’m extremely happy with my SN004-G-A1. I’m not a Rolex brand/ethos fan at all and looked for many years for this style. This watch fits all my expectations perfectly.
Great size watch, mine loses about 2 minutes a week, and looks great in person.
Before buying I was confused by San Martins website, that had another watch page that I discovered was actually the same watch but had ‘retro’ in the title (retro is what I was after) and wasn’t sure which watch to buy. Apparently, it was an older page of the same watch, and this page has the only retro option for this watch. This page also confused me because some A1 pictures have indices more a yellow/green colour, and the description wasn’t clear to me about the natural colouring of the indices, as I was after the more retro orange/pink colouring which I can confirm is what the A1 looks like to me in person.
Customer service was always excellent pre purchase, as they answered my questions quickly and competently about the retro version.
Any niggles? Nothing even close to losing a star, or any points for that matter. Minor mentions may include lug end corners which are sharp (I will lightly use very fine emery paper to take edges off – personal preference only), and the minute markers on the bezel between 12 and 3 o clock position. Maybe the watch would aesthetically be even better without those graduations.
