A very nice watch! The finish is great. The brushed sides along with the polished edges make for a beautiful case. The bracelet and clasp are great, but bracelet sizing may be a problem for some. The PT5000 movement is very accurate. Limited lume on the bezel… see pics. Not a problem for me, but some may want more.
Overall, I would recommend this watch.

Don’t read this review, you’re wasting your time – just order one now. You’ll be happy!
Delivery to UK – I chose the slow method and it was fine.
Overall watch impression: superb. You really could stop there. But you’re still reading, right? Okay, so it oozes quality. It’s classy and has presence without screaming ‘bling’. Size is perfect for my 7 and a bit inch wrist. I often go for bigger watches, but this is a great size. It’s thinness is a real bonus, and the case is beautifully done.It sits well on the wrist, but I am not sure the male end-links are right – they make the watch seem to have a longer lug-to-lug, and the fit is not as perfect as my Seikos, BUT it is perhaps the best fit I have of watches of this case shape.
The dial and hands are just perfect – refined and great tonal choices. The dial and hands sit close underneath the sapphire and I like that a lot.The glass is terrific The bezel looks wonderful – quite subtle – and alignment is excellent. The lume pip is sweet, and quality. The movement of the bezel is fine. I tend not to play around with bezels and don’t get the obsession with how they move anyway. The coin edge of the bevel is beautiful. Maybe a little too fine/sharp? Lume is very solid and, without charging, you can read it all night – one of the best I have for night-time legibility. The crown is good looking. I would have preferred a fraction larger, and maybe some colour on the stem to see when it is open. My crown, when fully screwed down, sits a little proud. I think this is deliberate, to keep it clear of the bezel. The strap is beautiful. As reviewers have noted, it is a royal pain in the ass to size, because you need two screwdrivers, one on each side of the pins, and they are hard to hold simultaneously in place. A glue vial was supplied, but I think mine may have been empty. Anyway, I couldn’t face getting glue everywhere, and was happy enough just to be able to get those tiny screws back in place. In the end, it only took half an hour, and the end result is so pleasing, you won’t be too irritated. The bracelet is really great – and not as chunky as it appears on videos/photos – and completed by a very high quality clasp. You won’t have much of a relationship with that clasp, though, because you won’t want to take the watch off! Like I said, buy one! Or maybe both!

I bought the black-dial SW200-1 movement version.
Most of my watches have been Rolex Subs and Tudor Black Bays. I’ve also owned a few Squales, MKIIs, Omega Seamasters, Ravens, TAG-Heuers, Christopher awards, etc. I always buy new.
This watch is clearly an homage to the BB58 but it’s also it’s own design. I prefer the ceramic bezel. It’s slightly larger at 40mm but that does give it more wrist presence. Fit snd finish on the 316K steel is as good as Tudor and Rolex (who use 904L steel) and superior to all other Swiss brands I’ve owned. This is clearly evident from the sides of the protruding centre part of the end-links.
Bezel action is superb. My Black Bays are 60-click but this San Martin is 120-clock. Both work equally well.
The Sellita SW200-1 (San Martin should clearly state that it is the improved ‘-1’ version in this watch which offers improved protection against cog wheel wear-and-tear) in my watch runs at +/- 1 sec/day. Superb accuracy.
Threading on crown and stem feel solid and I’m impressed. Time will tell if they hold-up well. But again, I am impressed and don’t anticipate issues here.
Bracelet adjustment (double-sided screws) is a nightmare unless you have really small screwdrivers. San Martin did include two screwdrivers with my watch, but only one of them was small enough to fit into the slit on the screws. Happily, I already had a second suitable screwdriver.
This is an amazing, solidly-built watch that wears as well as a Tudor Black Bay. You will definitely experience something very similar to the Black Bay ownership experience if you buy this watch.
If course, quality control is something I can’t comment on. My watch has zero issues, but time will tell if other buyers have the same awesome experience.
The cost of this watch with the higher-beat movements (PT5000 and SW200-1) is well worth the price. I’d go for the Sellita if you decide to buy.

My Blue PT5000 variant arrived today. The watch goes way above my expectations. I watched all the reviews and read comments on forums about the SN008-G but nothing could prepare me for this alarmingly brilliant piece. Yes it communicates time effortlessly and accurately (+5 per day) yet also exudes symmetry and class ….. not the stodgy homage type of class but a more relaxed, fluent presence. The design language and craftsmanship somehow eschew the word “homage” and take this watch into a level all its own. Absolutely.
The upgraded female links and new double post clasp feature really compliment the SN008-G. The watch head and bracelet are seamless …… almost like one uninterrupted unit. They flow perfectly together with no rattle. I like the riveted bracelet and found taking out links pretty straight forward with the included screw driver set. The watch wears comfortably yet firm. When setting the bezel it stays put, never going askew at all.
The fine surfacing of the hands and indices is outstanding and catch the light very well. A generous amount of BGW9 is superbé! Very high grade details all throughout the watch. Ceramic bezel and dial are well matched colorwise. I prefer their matt finish dial in regard to the glossy ceramic bezel. It’s like a matched set that play off each other. Each one catches the light differently yet maintain the same hue. The numerals and time indicators impressed into the bezel are very crisp ….. they almost look like fine engraving. The sintered platinum on premium luxury divers has nothing on this bezel.
San Martin has potentially saved me several thousands of dollars in my effort to possess timeless tool watches.

I just received my second SN008-G and I could not be much happier. The Tudor Black Bay 58 is one of my favorite watches in history, but since I refuse to wear a Tudor logo on my wrist (even if the watch were given to me), I’ve always appreciated it from afar. But with the SN008-G and a custom logo, I get to wear the beautiful design without the status issues involved with wearing luxury brand! I can’t find any flaws in the case or bracelet, and bezel, hands, and dial are attractive and well-aligned. The ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal are top-notch and the lume is remarkably bright. I’m not sure I could ask for more at this price point, or even for twice as much. The watch even came with additional straps, a professional springbar tool, and two bracelet/screwdriver tools — San Martin thought of everything and put it into a very solid hardcase-style case. The reason I have two is that I’m giving the first one to a friend who went to the same school I did (custom logo), so now I have to order a second one for myself. Speaking of custom logos, the process of getting one done and reviewing proofs with Glenn Yu was very smooth and professional. The final result is so nice that I’ll probably order a third so I have a backup if my favorite watch ever gets damaged or lost.

As a returning customer, here’s my genuine reaction: Amazing esthetics and functionality and outstanding quality even under loupes! San Martin proves once again they’re aiming to provide the highest attainable quality, getting better and better as they expand their business and inventory. I’m very pleased with this watch and the custom logo, in particular. I highly recommend San Martin for the quality they offer, not only through their products, but also through the Customer Support they offer. Big thumbs up!
